This morning and yesterday I spent updating all of my resume things and finding the last of my audition materials. This took amazingly long, and I still have lots to do. However, I now have 2 booked auditions! I have chosen my 2 contrasting songs and I am working on 4 monologues!! Everything's on it's way.

I'm also taking an absurd amount of classes. Tap, lyrical, private dance, theory, voice, voice with accompaniment- it's a really crazy time!

But however crazy all of this is, it is perfect for me, I am having the time of my life spending all of my energy on the things I love, even if sometimes I get a bit over stressed. My first audition is Friday February 12, at first when I saw that I was like "Ok, nothing in January- good" then I realized--- JANUARY IS ALMOST OVER!!

So it's crunch time- in several ways actually. I am involved in two productions right now. "The Long Weekend" with my school and "Oklahoma". I play Wynn and Ado Annie- two very fun roles!!  However I am the type of person who needs to memorize things right off the bat, I like to get moving as soon as possible, so I have to memorize the monologues, two scripts, some songs, apply for scholarships, do all of my lessons-- It gets pretty nuts!! But it's the most fun I have had all my life!!!

Oh plus to add to that crunch time thing- it's exam week! And i just finished my big projects of the year, it's been non stop!! 

My new semester starts really soon though which is fun! As of right now my semester is: French AP, Drama, World Issues and Math (college level- considering dropping it for either a spare or another social science).

And also- I was accepted to my back up plan at Ottawa U for theatre (french immersion) which is pretty exciting. And I am expecting a letter from Sheridan any day now, I am hoping that they accept my right in to their 1 year prep course, my other fall back:) 


Since I have lots to do and this break was all the time I can really afford, I'll write soon!!

Wow, so much is just about to start...

I feel slightly like I am standing right in front of a door that advertises "absolute chaos"... But it will be a great chaos so I am smiling anyways!!

It is January!!! This means- voice lessons, dance lessons, theory lessons, rehearsals for two shows, work outs, homework... OH MY OH MY OH MY!!! Dorothy couldn't come close to handling all this!!!

Tomorrow I start off the chaos with quite the busy night, after school I have a rehearsal for "The Long Weekend" ...

Wow,

Lots of new things. I guess I'll focus on the recent. 

Yesterday was the fall awards assembly at school, to award honour role and subject awards. Really really happily I got honour role and the drama award! Also, I am now an understudy for the production of Beauty and the Beast that starts December 11. And I also got my midterm report card today and was surprised, I was expecting somewhere around a 75% average and I had an 81%! My marks have changed a lot in the past couple weeks- feeling ...

Welcome to the annual "WOAH NEXT YEAR IS POST SECONDARY" scare. I have always laughed a bit at people's distress, but now that I am in grade 12 and facing it I have to say it is so exciting and intimidating and confusing, I completely understand the bewilderment.

Which schools should I apply to? Should I go for the colleges that seem more interesting or the universities where I get the title? What songs and monologues will I use for my auditions? Etc. etc.

I HAVE TWO SHOWS!!! 

This weekend was a weekend of auditions for Suzart's wonderful season of Beauty and the Beast and Oklahoma. After an emotional couple of days I am really proud to say that later this year I will play the great comedic role of Ado Annie in Oklahoma and I am also to be in the chorus of Beauty and the Beast! I am so happy to finally have great shows to look forward to!

Hello to anyone who reads!
First audition of the season went rather well but there weren't any openings for me. So with that being moved on from, two auditions coming up very soon! IN the next week alone I have an audition and an open house. I am very excited because both of these companies, Suzart and Savoy are new to me but seem like lots of fun.

It occured to me today that it is pointless to have a page on this site for a blog if I am not even attempting to keep one!

We're nearing the end of the summer which is sad cause it's back to school, but also wonderful cause there are new and exciting theatre opportunities just waiting for me to attack! I'll say truly and honestly that the summer has been pretty stale for my artistic side....
